Job Summary The Head of HR India will be accountable for the full HR life cycle of activities, leading the HR team, strategy, and deployment of corporate initiatives across the region. They will provide pro-active, strategic HR support to the manufacturing sites and corporate business segments. This role will cover the full HR spectrum with a particular emphasis on generalist HR activities encompassing the full employee life cycle of activities: building a talent pipeline, recruiting, and retaining outstanding talent, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefit administration, business partnering, governance and more. As we expand in India, this position will be a key leader in acquisition activity. Responsibilities Role Specific Responsibilities: HR Business Partner for the defined business area, serving as a member of the leadership team, provides guidance and coaching to leadership team Acts as a change agent to drive and implement the desired behavioral and organizational changes across the region, aligned with the business strategy and corporate HR strategy. Provides HR partnering support to regional leaders, Site Directors, and their teams on all aspects of Human Resource Management, ensuring best practice and to proactively develop the role of HR as a business partner. Delivers HR programs and projects across the region to support organizational goals Builds strong and influential relationships across the region based on respect and trust. Provides advice and guidance to managers and employees on all HR matters, embedding a performance-oriented culture and values Active support to people development and succession planning initiatives ensuring deliverables in line with business strategy Ensure that core HR processes are applied pragmatically and in a legally compliant manner Lead the achievement of business KPI\'s for continuous improvement. Responsible for the achievement of maturity through the HR Maturity Model Manage the full employee life cycle from recruitment and selection, onboarding and offboarding of employees, training and development, talent management, pay and leave administration, performance management, application of company policies and practices, employee relations, HR record management. Promotes and advocates a productive company culture, in particular the safety of all employees Responsible for data integrity and maintenance of appropriate HR IT systems and processes Responsible for Learning & Development Responsible for Communications & Engagement Manage and provide direction and leadership on all Employee Relations issues - e.g., absence, discipline, grievance Responsible for relationship with Trade Union (if applicable) and leading on pay and condition negotiations Support Organizational Design Compensation and Benefits including payroll management and time office functions. Support project work and ongoing HR development and maturity at a Corporate, regional, and local level. Monitors and ensures compliance with appropriate national and local employment laws and regulations, in accordance with maintaining all applicable governance To undertake other duties as may be required Compliance Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times Problem Solving And Innovation Active participation in continuous improvement activities Participates in problem-solving Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members Exercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance Qualifications/Desired Skills Education and Qualifications: Master of Business Administrator in Human Resources, or Business management related discipline HR professional accreditation Candidate must be Gujarat domicile Experience Minimum 10 years of generalist HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership / management position HR Business Partnering / HR Management experience Experience of working in manufacturing, ideally Chemical Manufacturing Experience working for a multi-national organization is essential Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Demonstrated experience building relationships at all levels of the organization, influencing, and working with leaders Excellent knowledge of Employee Relations, Employment Law of India. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to flex own style as needed to influence and drive results Ability to work within a multi-functional, global organizational structure and exhibits robust interpersonal skills Self-motivated and ability to work within a fast-paced environment Critical thinking skills and analytical abilities which allow assessments of situations and opportunities Excellent leadership skills to influence at all levels of the organization Excellent IT skills, good working knowledge of HRIS and proficiency in Microsoft office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Interest and experience in AI an advantage.
