Job Description


Job Responsibilities . Get an approval for the manpower requisition based on budgets. Shortlist from the CVs received and send the same to the supervisor and to the concerned HOD. Once the final rounds are over and the candidate is finalized, provide an offer letter based on the negotiated remuneration and confirm the date of joining. Prepare appointment letter and issue the same once the candidate completes pre-joining formalities. . Enter in data of new joinees with regards to personal data, salary, department, designation etc. into the Human Resource Information System software and update the same as and when there is a change in the employee muster. . Prepare payroll inputs report which should consist of the list of new joinees for the month with details like Date of joining, Date of Birth, Salary, Grade, Department, Designation etc. and also a list of the salary revisions, promotions etc. for the month. . Implement and carry out Reward & Recognition activities. Identify high performers in consultation with line managers and develop ways of recognizing them after approval of the HR Manager. Send communication mailers at regular intervals. Motivate associates to participate. . Interact with the employees and assist them with all queries related to any HR policies. Coordinate with all departments for their participation in events like Sports day, Annual day, Staff picnics, Movie of the month, Town Hall Meetings etc. Review cafeteria costs and hygiene levels and ensure they conform to standards. . Get relevant information (on activities to be conducted, new HR initiatives, notices) from the supervisor, draft the notice to be communicated, consult supervisor if needed and make necessary changes. Cascade to all concerned via email and display on notice board. Resolve queries which may arise. . Receive instruction from supervisor regarding logistics requirement for CSR activities and schedule accordingly. Coordinate with NGOs/ Charitable Institutions and relevant departments, collect excess material from housekeeping for donation, arrange for logistics through external agencies & resolve any logistical problems. . Document all exits and settlements. Provide clarifications on settlement process to colleagues as needed. For exiting employees who have availed company accommodation, check the premises and provide clearance if it is in satisfactory condition. Provide input for settlement recovery in case of damage. Consult with supervisor on continuing the lease in case of family accommodation. . Identify manpower suppliers on an ongoing basis. Participate in the negotiation process and finalize the costs and terms and conditions. Coordinate with the contractors to ensure quality manpower is provided in the desired time frame. . Maintain documentation related to headcount, changes in workforce, analysis of workforce data (attrition etc.), break up of employees department wise, payroll cost, etc. for all audits. Coordinate with other departments to collect data for audit purposes. Maintain and monitor records for standard requirements by the respective government bodies. . Prepare and update various monthly HR Reports for the unit as well as Corporate HR in the standard/set format basically (manpower -detail report, new joinees, exits, full & final settlement, star program reports etc.).Send to supervisor if need be for necessary approval. . In addition to the above mentioned duties and job functions, any other assignment given by the management within the scope of job. . Adherence to the Tata code of conduct, safety policies and values of the organization as defined.
