Currently, we are currently seeking an HR Associate to join our Gurgaon India HR team. In this role you will provide support to all functional areas of the Gurgaon based human resources department including but not limited to benefits administration, maintenance of HRIS systems, payroll and reporting, recruitment, training and development and project work. This individual will represent the department to the workforce, management and external vendors.

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

  • In depth knowledge on India Statutory compliances
  • Process enrollment transactions and coordinates with payroll and insurance providers to maintain accurate deductions and record keeping
  • Acquire working knowledge of all aspects of the companywide benefits programs in order to administer the health insurance and term life insurance policy
  • Manage the employment lifecycle including ensuring that the on-boarding and exit process and administration across all platforms are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Create employee correspondence to include: offer, promotion, salary change and employment verification letters as needed
  • Create, revise, edit and proofread company policies & procedures and related documents as needed
  • Process monthly department invoices from all providers. Review to ensure accuracy, proper coding and advance for payment.
  • Resolve discrepancies with carriers, payroll and the company in a timely manner. Completes reports for management as requested
  • Process HRIS data and ensures accurate entry in ADP and PeopleSoft. Serve as the primary conduit of information between Economist employee data and The Economist Group HR
  • Manage all payroll cycle changes and consistent updates within the HRIS systems along with oversee and administer all time off requests as well as timesheets for non-exempt employees
  • Assist with annual salary workbook process by completing corresponding HRIS updates including prepare any ad-hoc reports for HR and or Finance
  • Provide guidance on benefits or general HR matters and knows when to escalate to senior level HR leadership
  • Manage all leaves of absence including disability leaves in accordance to Group\xe2\x80\x99s policies. Interface with insurer as well as HR Director on timeline and administration of leave
  • Assist with annual performance management process as well as assist with annual salary review and incentive compensation process
  • Provide recruitment support by liaising with candidates and managers to schedule interviews and testing
  • Manage Non-payroll worker process through effective communication with hiring manager; coordinate with third party vendor as well as process in PeopleSoft. Partner with Facilities and IT on non-payroll
  • Undertake project work as required by the HR Director & Office Management, India
  • Provide logistical support for training curriculum
  • Conducts new employee orientation for all new employees including executives
  • Positive feedback from internal and external customers on timeliness and quality of service while identifying solutions to improving work processes
  • Ensure data integrity for HRIS; ensure updates are processed in a consistent, accurate and timely manner
Experience, skills and professional attributes

The ideal skills for this role are:
  • Bachelors degree, MBA is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of human resource work experience providing administrative support to staff at all levels of the company
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and concepts, practices and procedures
  • Superior computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must. User experience of PeopleSoft and ADP Workforce Now/ HRB desirable
  • Experience with social media and desire to stay current on trend
  • An Ability to deal with a variety of employee questions and needs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong presentation and exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • The Ability to multi-task with competing priorities and flexibility to work long hours during peak periods
  • Exellent attention to detail, good judgment, customer focus, proactive, enthusiastic and professional attitude
