Manage the complete payroll cycle, including gathering inputs (attendance, leave data, timesheets), calculating salaries, benefits, bonuses, and processing timely payments.
Statutory Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to Indian statutory requirements, including timely and accurate calculation and submission of
TDS
(Tax Deducted at Source),
PF
(Provident Fund),
ESI
(Employees' State Insurance),
Professional Tax
, and
Labour Welfare Fund (LWF)
.
Data Management & Record Keeping:
Maintain and update accurate employee records in the HRIS or payroll software.
Reporting & Reconciliation:
Prepare various payroll reports, such as salary registers, reports, and MIS (Management Information Systems) reports. Reconcile payroll data with general ledgers and bank statements.
Query Resolution:
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related queries, discrepancies, and concerns, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
Audits Support:
Assist with internal and external payroll audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring all processes are transparent and compliant.
Policy Implementation:
Collaborate with the HR and finance departments to implement and monitor company pay policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education:
A Bachelor's degree, and a Master's degree in Human Resources is required.
Experience:
Proven work experience (typically 2-3 years) in a dedicated payroll or accounts executive role, preferably within an educational institution or a similar high-volume environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in payroll software and systems
Strong MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and time/attendance tracking systems.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities to meet strict deadlines.
High level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
