Responsibilities:
Supervision: Oversee the housekeeping team, including cleaners and support staff, ensuring they adhere to established cleaning protocols and maintain a high level of cleanliness.
Cleaning and Sanitization: Direct and participate in the cleaning and sanitization of all public and private areas, including dining rooms, restrooms, event spaces, and back-of-house areas.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring an adequate stock is maintained. Place orders for supplies as needed, taking budgetary constraints into consideration.
Waste Management: Implement effective waste disposal procedures and recycling initiatives. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
Event Setup and Breakdown: Collaborate with banquet staff to ensure timely setup and breakdown of event spaces, maintaining cleanliness and organization during and after events.
Hygiene Standards: Enforce strict hygiene and sanitation standards in all areas, including kitchens, dining rooms, and restrooms. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any cleanliness issues.
Training and Development: Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Provide ongoing training to ensure the team is well-equipped to maintain cleanliness standards.
Customer Interaction: Interact with guests in a professional and friendly manner, addressing any housekeeping-related concerns or requests.
Shift Coordination: Coordinate housekeeping schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and events. Assist in managing breaks and shift rotations for the housekeeping team.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role in a fine dining restaurant or banquet setting.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of health and safety regulations related to housekeeping responsibilities.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
