Hiring, training, and supervising housekeeping staff; scheduling and assigning duties; monitoring performance; and evaluating staff.
Quality assurance:
Conducting inspections of rooms, public areas, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to high standards.
Inventory management:
Monitoring and controlling stock of cleaning supplies, linens, and other equipment; ordering new supplies as needed; and ensuring supplies are not wasted.
Operations and efficiency:
Developing and implementing cleaning procedures; planning and scheduling cleaning programs; and developing strategies to improve departmental efficiency.
Guest and safety compliance:
Responding to guest requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Ensuring all staff follow safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
Reporting and documentation:
Maintaining records on personnel actions, work assignments, and performance; preparing periodic reports for management; and managing lost and found procedures.
