Job Description

The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces in accordance with hotel standards. The role ensures guest satisfaction through attention to detail, prompt service, and adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas. Change bed linens, replenish towels, toiletries, and other guest amenities. Ensure rooms are clean, tidy, and set up as per hotel standards before guest check-in. Handle laundry services including washing, ironing, and folding (where applicable). Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to the supervisor. Ensure proper usage of cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals. Maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and storage areas in an organized manner. Assist in deep cleaning tasks, spring cleaning, and special projects. Adhere to health, hygiene, and safety standards at all times. Provide courteous and prompt assistance to guest requests.

Requirements:

Prior experience in housekeeping or similar role preferred (hotel/hospitality industry). Knowledge of cleaning procedures, products, and safety guidelines. Physically fit with the ability to handle repetitive tasks and long hours. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high standards of cleanliness. Good communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
