is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, coordinating with other departments, managing inventory, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience in line with hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily housekeeping operations including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house areas.
Plan, organize, and supervise housekeeping staff schedules, duties, and performance.
Ensure rooms are cleaned, inspected, and ready as per check-in and check-out timelines.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene throughout the property.
Coordinate closely with Front Office, Maintenance, and Management teams.
Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas; take corrective actions where required.
Manage housekeeping inventory, linen, uniforms, chemicals, and cleaning equipment.
Ensure proper usage, storage, and safety of cleaning chemicals and materials.
Train housekeeping staff on SOPs, grooming standards, safety, and guest interaction.
Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on housekeeping operations.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred.
Experience:
3-6 years of housekeeping experience in hotels or resorts, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills
Attention to detail and high cleanliness standards
Good communication and coordination skills
Knowledge of housekeeping SOPs, chemicals, and equipment
Ability to handle guest concerns professionally
Basic computer knowledge (reports, inventory, scheduling)
