We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Housekeeping Desk Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the housekeeping department and ensuring that guests have a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment during their stay.
Job Summary:
As a Housekeeping Desk Attendant, you will act as the point of contact for both guests and housekeeping staff, managing requests, coordinating room cleaning schedules, and ensuring the efficient operation of housekeeping services. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the housekeeping office and assisting with inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Interaction:
Respond to guest requests related to housekeeping, such as additional towels, amenities, or room cleaning needs.
Address any guest concerns or complaints regarding cleanliness, and escalate to the appropriate team members as needed.
Provide information to guests regarding resort facilities and services, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
Room Coordination:
Monitor the room cleaning schedule and ensure rooms are prepared and cleaned according to guest check-in times.
Update housekeeping staff on room statuses, such as guest arrivals, check-outs, or special cleaning requests.
Communicate with the Front Office to ensure room readiness and inform of any delays or special requests.
Housekeeping Supplies & Inventory:
Assist in maintaining inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linen.
Track and manage stock of towels, linens, and other housekeeping amenities.
Report any inventory shortages or damaged items to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
Administrative Support:
Maintain housekeeping logs, including work orders, room statuses, and guest requests.
Document and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
Assist with filing, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Maintain Cleanliness and Organization:
Ensure the housekeeping office is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Ensure all housekeeping equipment and supplies are in good working condition.
Team Support:
Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure efficient daily operations and high levels of guest satisfaction.
Provide assistance to housekeeping staff in completing various tasks, such as retrieving or delivering supplies, as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role in the hospitality industry is a plus, but not required.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
