Job Description

A housekeeping attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and public areas, which includes tasks like making beds, vacuuming floors, dusting, and sanitizing bathrooms. Key duties also involve restocking supplies such as toiletries and linens, emptying trash, and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management. The role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and good guest interaction skills to ensure a clean and welcoming environment. Core responsibilities

Guest room cleaning:

Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures. Vacuuming carpets and mopping floors. Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and showers. Making beds and changing linens and towels. Emptying trash and disposing of waste. Restocking guest room supplies like toiletries and amenities.

Public area maintenance:

Cleaning and maintaining common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and elevators. Keeping public restrooms clean and stocked.

Supplies and inventory management:

Stocking and organizing the housekeeping cart. Monitoring and reporting on the inventory of cleaning supplies. Ensuring linen closets are stocked and organized.

Maintenance and safety:

Checking rooms for technical issues, burned-out bulbs, or safety hazards. Reporting maintenance issues to the appropriate department or supervisor. Following all health and safety regulations.

Guest interaction:

Responding promptly to guest requests for supplies or special cleaning needs. Handling guest concerns with professionalism. Returning any lost and found items to the proper authority.
Required skills and attributes

Ability to work efficiently and independently. Strong attention to detail. Good guest service and communication skills. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.
