The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of assigned areas. This role ensures that rooms, common spaces, and facilities meet established cleanliness standards and provide a comfortable environment for guests, employees, or residents.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas.
Change linens, make beds, and replenish towels and amenities.
Dispose of trash and follow waste-management procedures.
Restock cleaning supplies and report shortages to supervisors.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Follow proper cleaning, sanitization, and safety protocols.
Handle guest or resident requests promptly and professionally.
Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition.
Ensure compliance with company policies and hygiene guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma preferred but not required.
Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
Physical ability to lift, push, or pull equipment and supplies.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Work Environment
May involve shift work, weekends, and holidays.
Work includes handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
