The Housekeeping Associate ensures all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, hygienic, well-maintained, and presented according to hotel standards. The role directly supports guest satisfaction and overall hotel experience.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and prepare guest rooms as per hotel standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities.
Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, replace towels, and restock supplies.
Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items immediately to the supervisor.
Ensure trolley, cleaning equipment, and chemicals are properly stocked and maintained.
Follow proper usage of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
Clean public areas such as corridors, elevators, lobbies, and service areas as assigned.
Complete assigned daily room checklists and submit to supervisors.
Assist guests politely and address their requests promptly.
Follow hotel policies on lost and found items.
Support deep cleaning schedules when required.
Maintain personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards.
Skills and Requirements
Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred but not mandatory.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Physically fit with the ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods.
Good communication and guest service attitude.
Strong attention to detail and responsibility toward assigned tasks.
Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
