The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The role ensures that all areas are neat, tidy, and well-maintained to enhance guest satisfaction and overall service quality.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned public areas according to company standards.
Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest supplies as required.
Maintain the cleanliness of corridors, stairways, and service areas.
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Ensure proper usage, storage, and care of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Follow hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.
Assist with laundry and linen management as required.
Provide courteous and professional assistance to guests when approached.
Support the housekeeping team in deep-cleaning and special projects.
Requirements
Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred (hospitality experience is an advantage).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
Physical stamina to handle manual tasks and long working hours.
Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
