Job Title: Hotel Marketing & Sales Manager

Location: Darjeeling

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reports To: General Manager / Hotel Owner

Job Summary:



The Hotel Marketing & Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and sales plans to maximize hotel revenue, attract new guests, build strong local partnerships (with travel agencies, tour operators, etc.), and design attractive packages to enhance the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:



Strategic Planning & Marketing



Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the hotel.

Design seasonal and thematic service packages (e.g., honeymoon, adventure tours, family stays).

Drive online and offline campaigns (social media, Google Ads, travel sites, newspapers, etc.).

Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.

Sales & Client Acquisition



Identify and build relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and corporate clients.

Attend travel fairs, exhibitions, and networking events to promote the hotel.

Close B2B and B2C deals to boost occupancy rates year-round.

Revenue Management



Monitor market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor performance.

Collaborate with the Revenue Manager (or act as one if not available) to optimize room pricing and promotions.

Digital Presence



Oversee content creation for the hotel website, social media, and third-party booking platforms.

Monitor guest reviews and feedback on OTAs and review sites, responding professionally to enhance reputation.

Coordination & Operations



Work closely with the front office, housekeeping, and F&B to ensure package inclusions and service promises are fulfilled.

Liaise with logistics and transportation partners for guest pick-ups, sightseeing tours, and more.

Reporting & Analysis



Prepare monthly sales reports, campaign performance metrics, and forecast occupancy trends.

Recommend improvements based on analytics and guest feedback.

Key Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hotel sales or tourism marketing.

Strong knowledge of Darjeeling's tourism landscape is a plus.

Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM software, and OTA platforms.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and meet targets.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: Based on experience + Incentives/Commission
