To create a warm and welcoming first impression for guests, manage reservations and seating, and ensure smooth guest flow while reflecting the Japanese and Korean culture of hospitality (Omotenashi).
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly with courtesy and professionalism in line with Japanese and Korean hospitality traditions.
Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists efficiently.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
Coordinate with service staff to ensure timely table turnover and smooth dining flow.
Handle guest inquiries about menu, beverages, or restaurant concept with accuracy.
Maintain the reception and entrance area neat, tidy, and inviting.
Assist in guest relations, handle minor complaints, and escalate when necessary.
Update the reservation system and maintain accurate guest records.
Support restaurant promotions, special events, and VIP guest handling.
Follow grooming standards and maintain a polished professional appearance.
Requirements:
Prior experience as a Hostess/Guest Relations preferred (hospitality industry).
Pleasant personality, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge/interest in Japanese and Korean dining culture is a plus.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
