Job Summary:

We are seeking a well-groomed, poised, and customer-focused

Hostess

to be the welcoming face of our fine dining restaurant. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a key role in creating memorable first impressions, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of guests within the dining area.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant with a professional and friendly demeanor Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using a reservation system (e.g., OpenTable) Escort guests to their tables and ensure a smooth handoff to the service team Maintain an organized waiting list during peak times and communicate estimated wait times Answer guest inquiries about the restaurant, menu, or specials Maintain the podium/reception area in a clean, orderly, and welcoming condition Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure exceptional guest experiences Handle special requests, VIP guests, and guest complaints professionally

Requirements:

Previous experience as a hostess or in a guest-facing role in a fine dining or upscale environment preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Polished, professional appearance and etiquette Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure Basic computer skills and experience with reservation systems (preferred) Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
