Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently to outpatients and inpatients.
Counsel patients on correct usage of ophthalmic medications (e.g., eye drops, ointments, tablets).
Prepare and label compounded eye medications under sterile conditions when required.
Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medicines, surgicals, and consumables in the pharmacy.
Ensure proper storage of medicines, especially those requiring refrigeration or light protection.
Conduct regular stock audits and report near-expiry or expired drugs.
Comply with all hospital and pharmacy laws, regulations, and guidelines set by the Drug Control Department.
Maintain records of controlled substances and high-value drugs.
Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams for restocking and vendor management.
Assist in implementing medication safety protocols and pharmacovigilance practices.
Train junior pharmacy staff on standard procedures and new products or regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
B.Pharm or D.Pharm (Registered Pharmacist with State Pharmacy Council)
M.Pharm is an added advantage.
1-3 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, preferably in an ophthalmic or specialty hospital.
Familiarity with ophthalmic medications and formulations is a strong plus.
