Scheduling and planning:
Develop and maintain production schedules for one or more products, prioritizing operations to maximize performance and minimize delays.
Resource management:
Estimate and ensure the availability of necessary manpower, equipment, and raw materials. This includes scheduling shifts to match production needs.
Inventory control:
Monitor and manage inventory levels for both raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or excess stock.
Cross-functional collaboration:
Work closely with departments like quality control, procurement, and warehouse staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
Performance monitoring and reporting:
Track production output, defect rates, and other metrics. Create and present status and performance reports to management.
Problem-solving:
Identify and resolve production disruptions, bottlenecks, and productivity issues.
Cost management:
Monitor production costs to ensure they stay within budget.
Process improvement:
Analyze production data to find opportunities for improving productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing efficiency.
