Roles and Responsibilities Empanelment and monitoring of external lawyers for title search and other legal matters related to
mortgage deals/real estate collaterals for all India Delhi/NCR locations.
Monitoring the quality of legal reports (TSR) being submitted by the empanelledempaneled lawyers
(legal vendor), monitoring legal vendor TAT s of empaneled lawyer as well as internal legal TATs and
legal vendor billing of mortgage business.
Should have good knowledge of TSR vetting and identifying and highlighting the potential issues in
the TSR and closing the TSR with empaneled lawyer relating to Loan AAgainst Property
/Construction Finance including the fluency in understanding the local language.
Should have good knowledge and be able to draft and review the documentation related to
Construction Finance/LAP. Should be able to draft and/or review the day to day agreements for the
Mortgage Vertical (Such as Indenture of Mortgage, MODT, Indemnity, Undertakings etc.)
Should be capable of providing assistance in advisory work to the Support Function (such as Risk,
Admin, Policy, etc.
Follow up on clearance/legal documents for mortgage deals from business units, customers &
external lawyers.
Coordinating with the credit and sales team for TSR Check through empanelled lawyers & Mortgage
Creation, providing an internal legal opinion as and when required.
Periodical review of real estate collateral pool of the company in terms of security perfection.
Coordinating with other stakeholders in the organisation i.e. Sales, Credit, Operations, Risk and
Litigation Legal team on a regular basis to facilitate business needs and also ensure no fraud losses
to the company due to a defective title or fake property documents.
Should have requisite knowledge for advising the stamp duty required to be paid on the documents
to be executed on day to day basis
