Position Purpose

The role shall lead the Supply Chain Management function at PIHS thereby providing strategic oversight and guidance to the procurement, supply chain and logistics operations within the organization. S/he shall drive the functional strategy in alignment with the organisational strategy and requirements. This role shall review all activities related to procurement, inventory management, logistics, production planning & supplier management.

The role\'s key purpose is to establish & foster strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring high quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of materials. S/he is also tasked with identifying and managing potential risks within the supply chain and implementing strategies and processes to increase efficiency and performance.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Responsible for devising the overall supply chain strategy for the organization with the aim of increasing the process efficiencies as well as reducing cost.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the company as an active member of the Senior Management
• Identifying and tracking key metrics for measuring efficiency and effectiveness of the function.
• Build & nurture strategic partnerships with suppliers/vendors and ensure evaluation and empanelment of new suppliers with robust negotiations, SLAs & rates.

Operational Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services to meet customer demands.
• Implement best practices for demand forecasting, production planning, and order fulfilment.
• Drive continual development in supplier diversity and sustainability activities, procuring from a broad set of suppliers and adopting sustainable practices within the procurement function.

Risk

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry (Pharma, as applicable) standards related to supply chain management.
• Ensure maintenance of proper documentation are followed and recorded for all functional operations.
• Oversee risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and proactively manage risk by considering disruptions in supply, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes.
• Periodically audit the performance of the functional operations and undertake appropriate action to ensure that the desired service levels are maintained.

• Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control.
• Implement strategies to improve financial performance, such as negotiating favourable contracts and optimizing inventory levels.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture within the supply chain department.
• Conduct performance assessments, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.

Education Qualification

- Bachelor\'s/Master\'s in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field

- Certifications/Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain preferred

Work Experience

15+ years of experience in supply chain management and procurement
