Job Description

The Head of R&D will lead and oversee research and development initiatives within the consumer-focused application, focusing on innovative product development and process improvement. The incumbent will be responsible for accelerating the "design-to-market" cycle time, ensuring product differentiation, and aligning R&D initiatives with the company's strategic goal of doubling topline revenue in 3 years.

• Lead and manage the R&D team to develop new products and improve existing ones.
• Oversee the development of innovative solutions to meet client and market requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of R&D projects into manufacturing processes.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and risk assessments for new initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all R&D activities.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of R&D projects against set objectives.
• Stay updated on technological advancements and trends in the automotive industry.
• Provide strategic direction for long-term R&D goals and initiatives.

Candidates with MTech/PhD in Polymer/Material Science or Chemical EngineeringCandidates who have led R&D for sun control/architectural/paint protection films
A successful Head of R&D should have:

• A M.Tech / PhD degree in Polymer Science, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, or Surface Coating Technology
• Track record of taking products from concept ? pilot ? scale-up ? market launch.
• Prior exposure to global markets / MNCs will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of product development and process optimization
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• More than 15 years of experience
