Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Job Purpose is to conduct Demand & Supply Planning operations, to ensure timely Imports and Receipts from NTO Global sites and local ESO sites. To ensure redistribution planning of Pharmaceutical formulations from Central Warehouse to various C & F locations in India & further to Customers - Stockists, Distributors, Institutions etc.
  • while aligning with Novartis Quality, Compliance, Transport and HSE guidelines. Establish a clear and effective Business ownership for Supply Chain Processes within the CPO SCM organization to ensure adherence and sustainability of the defined standards and KPI's.
  • Lead Demand and Supply planning operations through a robust S&BP Process. Work closely with Regional Office, Global NTO sites, Logistics Team & with ESO locally to ensure timely supplies of Products - FG as well as DP.
  • Lead Central Warehouse Operations, support the Stamping Operations through close coordination with KAM (Govt. Key Accounts Team) for stamping/overprinting of products against Government orders.
  • Support Marketing and Sales in distribution of Physician Samples and promotional materials and provide infrastructure resources for the same. Lead distribution within All India Inventory norms for all Novartis products.
  • Handle supplies from C & F agents to Customer - Stockist, Distributors, Institutions etc. Freight negotiations with Carriers/Couriers along with Procurement & Sourcing Team. Review and renewal of all contracts - C&F as well as transport contract.
  • Prepare Expense Budget & LE working with details and justification. Control warehousing and distribution cost within budgeted period cost expenses. Review performance of C & F agents, conduct audit and train them on business processes, quality and compliance.
  • Review performance of transporters to ensure compliance to Novartis Quality and HSE requirements and Management of non-saleable stocks and destruction across the value chain, also lead the Central Destruction Hub operations.
Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:
  • To ensure timely supplies of products / samples / promotional materials from warehouses by supervising KPI's and assign the highest priority to internal & external customer requirements.
  • To create solutions for unmet customer needs and Collaboration with other Business Leaders, departments and functions to meet SCM & CPO objectives.
  • To ensure timely availability of all products across all locations in India in full quantity & on time. To minimise Distribution & transportation costs of finished products.
  • critical metric Deliver on all KPIs - HFA, Bias, CSL, OMA, PCE, Inventory, Write-off, PCE, QA & Compliance. Timely distribution of Novartis products, physician samples and promotional materials to all C & F locations in India and to field force.
  • Compliance to Novartis GMP and HSE requirements at all CWH and all C & F locations. Effective cost control for product distribution within budgeted expenses and Transportation negotiation contract. Collaboration with external and internal customers.
  • Ensure governance of the processes of the unit and align the related role's key accountabilities with Global Supply Chain & CPO strategies. Ensure local business process owners give to the continuous improvement of the defined standards providing inputs and actively participating to Global initiatives.
Desirable:
  • University degree in MBA/ Graduate Business management (Good to have - PG in Management with focus on Operations)
  • 18+ years of experience in Demand & Supply Planning operations with good Business Understanding (commercial & Financial knowledge of business) with hands on Technical Knowledge with respect to Quality, GxP & HSE, ERP
