The Role:

Morningstar Sustainalytics is seeking a Head of Quality to significantly improve the quality standards of the products it delivers to clients. This role will develop and lead an enterprise-wide quality framework that focuses on Sustainalytics\xe2\x80\x99 client experience by driving process improvements through both short-term fixes and long-term strategies. This role is an integral part of the global senior leadership team of Sustainalytics and will be responsible for managing all aspects of our organization\xe2\x80\x99s quality efforts in data, process, technology, and client delivery. The successful candidate will have the ability to shape this new role and which will have a meaningful impact on the success of Sustainalytics.

This position may be based in Frankfurt, Amsterdam or Mumbai and will report to the COO, Morningstar Sustainalytics.

Job responsibilities:

Establish Sustainalytics Quality Framework

Lead Sustainalytics Quality initiatives and define methods, processes, and measurements to enable broad insight and oversight of our clients\xe2\x80\x99 experience.

Partner with Product, Research and Data owners and their quality leaders, platform development teams, data consumers (products and other internal data consumers), and client service management teams to develop and execute data quality strategies to meet and exceed client-driven quality goals.

Define the quality roadmap (strategy, approach, and execution) for increasing quality controls within Sustainalytics, create ongoing methods for producing a client scorecard, and deliver impactful data quality audit and benchmarking assessments.

Develop and coach a squad comprised of both direct reports and functional experts to build and maintain quality audits and benchmark capabilities, as well as implementing controls to catch errors before they reach our clients.

Monitor and enable research and data governance and quality activities, processes, test results, root cause analysis, and in partnership with data leaders, identify areas of improvement with clear execution plans, emphasis on clear principles and best practices.

Providing individualized direction and guidance for all data owners regarding data quality within our platform and across products, with a focus on understanding each data owner\xe2\x80\x99s needs

Implement a "culture of quality" throughout the entire Sustainalytics organization, ensuring that all staff members are aware of and consistently strive to adhere to appropriate business practices.

Collaborate with other Morningstar quality leaders to share and leverage best practices, and actively participate in quality initiatives across the Morningstar organization.

Qualifications:

10+ years proven experience in successful business process redesign, program management, and implementation.

Strong analytical and teamwork skills to address challenges occurring in multiple groups.

Track record of influencing individuals throughout the organization to achieve operational excellence, including senior executives, vendors, consultants, clients, and individuals.

Excellent business acumen with the ability to adapt and a proven record of delivering timely results.

Experience in financial data solutions, ESG data operations and technology is required.

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required; an advanced degree in business, engineering, or related area preferred.

Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification is desired.
