Your field of responsibility We are looking for a Head of Software Quality Assurance Engineering & Agile Practices to join a team within the Chief Security Office. As part of a global Identity & Access Management (IAM) team, you will be responsible for building and leading (hiring, training, coaching, mentoring) the IAM Software Quality Assurance Engineering & Agile Practices team, who provide testing, quality assurance & agile services to our in-house developed applications. In this lead role, you should be technically skilled in software engineering, release engineering and testing practices in an agile manner, not only assisting the software engineering team in implementing the designed test strategy for their product area but also assisting product owners in assuring the most efficient user journey. The team provides software testing expertise with focus on security & compliance, providing the high level of quality encouraged by regulatory requirements for financial institutions. This includes all aspects of quality assurance, including functional and non-functional testing, as well as a joint responsibility for the development processes, assuring those are defined and implemented in and agile (SCRUM & Kanban), effective, and automated manner. As part of the responsibilities, you will: define quality and corresponding metrics Measure, track and use these metrics to ensure and improve software quality Establish documentation, tools & processes for a streamlined and innovative software quality assurance service, promoting automation Implement maintain and adapt automation frameworks and test harnesses to ensure robust CI pipelines post deployment (CD) tests and smooth execution of end-to-end tests across systems. Additionally, this role will be responsible for establishing and growing the Identity & Access Management presence in India and will play the IAM India lead role. You will have the chance to also work within a highly motivated delivery team of developers, architects and analysts, whilst working on cutting - edge technologies. Your skills and experience To be successful in this role you should have: Must be a creative, dynamic leader and an active manager who excels at leading complex, essential and impactful quality security software development, and agile transformation initiatives 12+ years in Agile leadership (including line management & hands-on experience) in Software Quality Engineering roles, proven extensive software development industry experience, or equivalent position looking after multiple products Strong record of challenge the status-quo where needed with new tools and techniques to continuously set a higher standard of quality deliveries Thorough knowledge of software development, testing and solution delivery processes in agile WoW Provide technical leadership, monitor emerging technologies, and market trends, identify process improvements, and own quality assurance standards and definition of Standard Practice Strong expertise with test automation tools & frameworks (Selenium, Bounty Framework) Experience in supervising testing team activities across multiply products and projects, ensuring high-quality and timely software testing Fluent in formulating and regularly reviewing software testing strategies, creating & maintaining large scale test data frameworks to support test automation Enhance our test automation strategy and repeatable testing infrastructure that allows practical analysis of failures and near real-time reporting. Minimize manual test efforts while bringing along QA engineers to expand their automated testing skills Experienced with testing standard processes and defining testing guidelines, awareness of the latest testing and technology trends and using them to improve daily practices Implement the activities of the software quality assurance function for maximum quality and predictability while adequately managing risk Ability to work effectively within a release train in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational planning and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable Proficient people management skills with a proven ability to hire and manage teams of Software Quality Engineers and release Engineers Is experienced with various software development agile methodologies such as SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe, etc Work closely with other functional teams, including but not limited to software development, product, and systems engineering Well versed with the release management process and tools (like Ansible etc) Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
