Job Description

This role leads the entire logistics network, covering inbound RM, plant dispatches, freight optimisation, and on-time delivery across South India. The focus is on cutting cost per ton, strengthening vendor performance, and building a reliable, scalable distribution model for kraft paper and corrugated products.

• Own and optimise the end-to-end logistics network covering inbound raw materials, plant dispatches, fleet strategy, distribution hubs, and customer deliveries across South India.
• Design a future-ready network for kraft paper and corrugated boxes, including radius planning, depot strategy, and potential satellite corrugation units in key markets.
• Lead inbound RM logistics for waste paper, kraft, starch, and chemicals, ensuring cost-efficient sourcing lanes, steady availability, and tight coordination with production.
• Drive outbound performance through route optimisation, load planning, documentation accuracy, and strong OTIF delivery to major hubs.
• Manage transporter relationships, negotiate rate cards and SLAs, build incentive frameworks, and run deep freight analytics to reduce cost per ton without compromising service.

The ideal candidate brings 10-18 years of experience managing high-weight, low-margin freight trucking operations in South India. They understand plant-to-hub economics, work well with transport partners, and know how to balance cost with reliable service. They've improved OTIF, tightened processes, led tough dispatch environments, and built strong ground teams. They're hands-on and comfortable spending time at plants, hubs, and customer sites, not just managing from a desk.
