Qualification: B Com The Accounts Specialist will play a critical role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the overall financial operations of our organization. Industry : Oil and Gas Responsibilities:- 1.Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Generate ad-hoc financial reports as requested by management. Accounts Payable and Receivable:- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Budgeting and Forecasting:- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor budget performance and variance analysis against actual results. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend budget adjustments as needed. Tax Compliance:- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements. Prepare and submit tax filings, including corporate income tax returns and sales tax filings. Coordinate with external tax advisors as necessary to address complex tax issues. Financial Controls and Compliance:- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Conduct periodic audits to assess financial risk and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Financial Systems Management:- Utilize accounting software systems to record financial transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain general ledger accounts and perform month-end and year-end closing procedures. Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize system functionality. Requirements:- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting roles within the oil and gas industry. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of financial principles and practices, including GAAP. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of industry-specific accounting standards and regulations is a plus.
