What you'll do

  • Strategic Planning & Budgeting, Programme Management and Stakeholders Engagement
  • Develops CSR strategy in close alignment with the global CSR mission and India CSR Committees
  • Fully responsible for developing CSR budget & project planning in alignment with CSR committee and global CSR focus
  • Drives strategic CSR programs based on local needs while aligning with Global CSR focus area.
  • Execution of CSR programmes in the India market unit
  • External stakeholders' engagement viz., working with NGOs, Private Sector partners, government, and multi-lateral organization, towards driving impactful CSR programmes.
  • Engages with senior leadership teams in India to ensure business alignment and value
  • Strategic direction for employee volunteering and engagement
  • Defines KPIs and creates an impact measurement framework to monitor the program's progress and evaluate continuous improvements
  • CSR Governance and Compliance
  • Responsible for ensuring CSR compliance with the prevailing rules / laws of Ministry of Corporate Affairs
  • Actively reports and monitors the impact of CSR; and drive the impact assessment
  • Responsible for ensuring CSR governance together with Regional/ India CSR governance committees, and as per the requirements of regulatory authorities
  • Strong knowledge of and experience on CSR compliance and prevailing rules or laws related to CSR in India
  • Fully responsible for ensuring CSR governance by working in close collaboration with internal legal, compliance and finance team; as well as externally with auditors
What you bring
  • Around 15 years of working experience in social sector and CSR domain; of which minimum 7 years in managing, operationalizing, driving CSR function in a Multi-National Corporation or large-cap Indian companies. The candidate should have an experience of working in matrixed organizational structure
  • Worked on multi-stakeholder programmes (a) involving private sector (i.e., corporate to corporate collaborations) (b) CSR to governments collaboration; or (c) CSR to technological university collaboration and driven high impact initiatives
  • Worked on IT skilling; future skills and/or skills development agenda
  • Strong skills in building successful partnerships and implementation
  • Strong working knowledge on dynamic CSR regulations by MCA
  • Experience with managing CSR operations and delivering on high social value return on the CSR investments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and self-driven
  • Problem Solving skills and attention to detail
  • Postgraduate in Social Work / Social Sciences; Rural Management or MBA
  • Extraordinary understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Relationship management skills (e.g., ability to establish / maintain a high level of stakeholder trust)
  • Strong networking capabilities and ability to work across Board Areas, Line of businesses, and organizational boundaries
  • Stress resilience (e.g., ability to deal with changing circumstances and with multiple stakeholders internally and externally
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English and strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills to partner effectively with our stakeholders and team
