Role Purpose The Head of Corporate Technology Architecture is a key role in defining and governing the IT architecture covering Lead to Cash, Digital estates (internal and external e.g. marketing sites & portals), People systems, Finance and systems related to other Corporate teams such as Compliance, Legal and Facilities. The technical estate includes key platforms such as Salesforce.com, ServiceNow, Snowflake and Workday amongst several hundred applications. The portfolio of work over the next few years includes key programs such as confirming our ERP strategy and rolling that out, transforming our Quote to Cash processes, completing the integration of Refinitiv and as well as ongoing M&A activity. The role is part of the Corporate Technology leadership team and will be based in India where Corporate Technology are significantly increasing their presence over the next few years. This role will be the most senior role in the region for Corporate Technology so the role will also involve being the local representation of the Corporate Technology Leadership team to our India based staff. As well as managing a team of architects focusing on Corporate Technology you will also be part of a virtual team made up of Heads of Architecture, indirectly reporting into the Chief Technology Officer, that decide on Group wide technology policies and standards and provide Group wide Architecture governance. Key responsibilities - Leads the development and execution of CT specific architecture capability and strategy - Manages performance, development and well being of a team of architects across various technology domains to define and deliver end to end architecture solutions - Defines architecture principles, policies and standards to produce function specific reference architectures and solutions, and ensures all architects within CT adhere to these - Manages relationships with CT leadership to influence adoption of enterprise architecture frameworks, standards and policies - Contributes to the development of global enterprise standards for the central Architecture & Technology Strategy function. - Leverages relationships with vendors, regulators and industry bodies to seek and adopt industry best practices in enterprise architecture and technology strategy - Seeks latest technology and business innovations relevant for the function (e.g., Automation, Artificial Intelligence, etc.) and enables adoption by CT function. - Acts as trusted advisor and leader across the wider Technology division Leadership responsibilities Responsible for the CT Architecture team, circa 20 FTEs. Member of the CT Leadership team Member of Architecture & Strategy virtual Leadership team Critical deliverables - Deliver an effective architecture for CT that complements the central architecture strategy, driving efficiency for the function - Implement CT Architectural Governance Functions that enable agile and rapid delivery of technology in line with business goals, risk and control appetite - Implement an architectural strategy for CT that enables transparent and action-orientated collaboration across all of CT, in order to provide clear and quick decisions to downstream teams Impact This role impacts all architects within CT, and their compliance to the central architectural standards. Key KPIs - Cost reductions (efficiency) - Adoption of new technology against Architecture strategy roadmap (adoption would be the KPI) - Vendor management - Regulatory compliance - Team engagement Technical / Job Function knowledge - Detailed knowledge on Enterprise Architecture, Technology Strategy, Cloud and Security - Detailed knowledge of operational, delivery management (including experience in a variety of delivery methodologies), business development and strategy and organisational transformation programmes - Experience of managing matrix operating models - Extensive knowledge of investment and programme governance - Strong technical acumen Business and sector expertise Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture and Technology Strategy across Financial Services organisations Experience of developing and influencing strategic working relationships with key technology suppliers Experience of advising/communicating at board level and with senior level regulators Leadership and management experience '- Strong leadership skills in managing individuals and leading high performing teams. - Experience of defining strategic goals for functions/divisions and systems for measuring goal attainment. - Experience successfully managing complex transformations including but not limited to human resources, finances, operations or strategies - Identifying opportunities to partner with external Technology organisations, developing the approach and negotiating terms Experience of establishing an Agile culture - Leadership and management experience at Director or equivalent level, managing global teams in a matrix environment Personal skills and capabilities - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with particular ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and to listen to identified concerns and adapt accordingly - Ability to influence across multiple Functions - Experience of successfully planning and delivering large scale complex technology integrations and technology transformation programmes - Ability to work well under pressure - particularly during an incident. - A continuous desire and willingness to learn and develop your current knowledge and skillset - Frequently keeps up-to-date with the latest industry development and technology innovations - Flexible in approach, adapting plans and strategies to help manage risks around ambiguity - Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and well-versed in current technological trends and business concepts At LSEG, we believe that creating a diverse and inclusive organisation is fundamental to the way we deliver on our promise of creating essential partnerships and open opportunities.
