JOB PURPOSE This role is responsible to lead facility operations that includes EHS, Projects, Maintenance, and facility administration and other expansion/ improvement projects at the Sandvik Coromant Manufacturing Site. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plans, organizes, schedules, and directs the design, maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of organisation facilities
• Develops plans and programs that meet present and anticipated space and facility requirements, renovations, expansions
• Monitors and inspects all buildings and equipment to ensure that utility systems are fully operational and that preventive maintenance schedules are being followed.
• Prepares cost estimates for building renovations or space allocations. Evaluates completed work and checks for conformance to specifications.
• Direct the safety and/or security functions of the facilities.
• Ensure adherence to the legal and statutory compliances like Factory Inspector (DISH), MPCB, MEPL, PCMC, Renewal of Factory & MPCB License, Stability Certificates, Factory Approval Plans, Environment protection acts, Health and Safety (in case of Hazardous Process), Maintenance of Machines and other Local State & Municipal rules & regulations.
• Oversee the activities of Occupation Health Centre at Dapodi Site. Monitor periodic Health Check Ups and execute Health and Wellbeing and / or other related training programmers for employees.
• Implement initiatives related to environment, health and safety as per local legislation and Sandvik global guidelines, review and develop actions plan to ensure adherence.
• Co-ordinate, implement and monitor compliance in accordance with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001/ ISO 45000/ FM Global Risk Audit, Perform Supplier Audits for Coromant PU and all other systems.
• Monitor overall Budget to achieve the cost efficiency.
• Ensure that systems and governance mechanism is at place for implementation of all EHS global standards, internal and external audits for ensuring that implementation of standards is sustained.
• Ensure system for monitoring, capturing, reporting and compliance of Fair play report, Risk assessments and Sustainability parameters with periodic audits /MRMs.
• Implement actions plans towards ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) and Crisis Management
• Manage budgets to build sustainable cost efficiency

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• Understands business operations and is knowledgeable about Environmental, Health and Safety and other facilities management protocols
• Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as Govt. & legal authorities, business leaders and technical teams to ensure alignment on goals, project priorities, and deliverables
• Demonstrated high level of customer service with qualitative and quantitative deliverables
• Ability to solve complex problems and develop customer specific solutions, considering stakeholders demands and requirements and make decisions independently
• Capability to conduct risk assessment and develop plans to mitigate short and long terms risks
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders
• Excel working in a fast-paced Manufacturing Environment
• Effective project management skills to oversee and direct a project from start to finish

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• BE/ BTech/MS in Operations, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering with 15-20 years of work experience in Manufacturing & Operations, of which at least 5-7 years leadership role exp, preferably heading the facility management, EHS or Projects of a Manufacturing Unit of repute.
• Had worked in the capacity of Factory Manager (as per the factories act)
• Well verse in handling statutory compliance related to EHS, Facilities and all other related to factories act.
