Finance Controller/Finance Head

Finance Controller

Reporting to: Founders

Role: Full-time, in-person

What You\'ll Do:

- This is a dynamic role in a high-growth start-up, working directly with the founders.

- As in typical startup fashion, you\'ll be wearing many different hats and responsible for various elements of the business. Here are some things that we\'d want your help with:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.

- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial results.

Accounting Operations:

- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed asset management.

- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

- Coordinate and manage external audits, acting as the main point of contact for auditors.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts, providing guidance and support in financial planning processes.

- Monitor budget-to-actual performance, analyzing variances and assisting in cost management initiatives.

Taxation and Compliance:

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all tax-related documents, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and other relevant filings.

- Stay updated on tax regulations and changes that may impact the organization\'s financial obligations.

Who We\'re Looking For:

A curious, hungry and multifaceted numbers person who wants to grow with our small but sharp team. We are looking for you to develop, implement, track and optimize our financial planning and analysis across our company. You\'ll be taking the lead, so we\'d love it if you have the following skills:

- Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.

- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.

- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
