We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef with a strong background in Continental cuisine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading kitchen operations, menu planning, maintaining food quality standards, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring a high standard of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and develop authentic Continental menus (including French, Italian, Spanish, Mediterranean, etc.)
Supervise food preparation and presentation to ensure consistent quality
Lead and manage the kitchen brigade, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
Ensure proper inventory control, stock management, and cost efficiency
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene (HACCP compliance)
Coordinate with suppliers and manage procurement of fresh, quality ingredients
Monitor food costs and implement measures to minimize waste
Introduce seasonal and innovative dishes to keep the menu fresh and appealing
Handle guest feedback regarding food quality and make necessary improvements
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a Continental kitchen
Formal culinary training or equivalent experience
Deep knowledge of Continental cuisine techniques, ingredients, and trends
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Understanding of kitchen safety, sanitation regulations, and HACCP standards
Creativity and passion for food presentation and flavor
Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
Experience in fine-dining or high-end hotel restaurants
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
