Responsible for overseeing the entire accounts receivable department of the company. This includes managing a team of accounts receivable professionals, setting departmental goals and objectives, and ensuring that all accounting practices are compliant with industry regulations.

The main responsibilities of an accounts receivable head include:

  Overseeing the accounts receivable department and ensuring that all processes are running efficiently
  
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the accounts receivable department
  
• Ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections
  
• Managing the credit and collections process, including evaluating customer creditworthiness and setting credit limits
  
• Analyzing accounts receivable data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  
• Working closely with other departments, such as sales, customer service, and accounting, to resolve any billing issues
  
• Monitoring and reporting on the department\'s performance to senior management
  
• Developing and managing the department budget and AR day Budget.
  
• Collection of doubtful debts through legal cases.
  

To be successful in this role, an accounts receivable head should have strong leadership skills, be able to work under pressure, and have a deep understanding of accounting principles and regulations. They should also possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have strong analytical abilities. A degree in accounting or finance, along with several years of experience in accounts receivable management, is typically required for this position.
