Hardware Engineer II Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Experience with PLM tool like SAP PDM, Teamcenter & Windchill.

• Strong Knowledge in change management-ECR/ECN and revision control.

• Responsible for complete ECN/ECR Creation, EBOM and AMPL management.

• Responsible for implementation of ECR/ECN in PLM Systems like SAP and TeamCenter. Markup Managements and its implementation.

• Creation of Part numbers for Finished Goods, Order Specification and Variance Notice/temporary Deviations.

• Submitting ECNs to update parts / assemblies and formally release them for manufacturing.

• Setting up routing control, to ensure that the right people approve any changes before they get pushed to suppliers (Technology, ERP, ISC, AME, Quality and Contract Manufacturers)

• Working with engineers to maintain proper revision control across all parts.

• Uploading key design files (drawings, 3D CAD, datasheets, Gerber’s, specifications, etc.) to Teamcenter and SAP document repository.

• Checking the release documents like 3D & 2D Drawing Templates and Markups, BOM, AMPL, Part Numbers and Templates.

• BOM Management from scratch to Production release and part release in SAP and TC.

• Working with engineers across functional teams to maintain proper revision control across all parts.

• Documenting key quality issues,tracking deviations when parts are not meeting the specifications.

• Various product data management and version control as per defined process.

• Interaction with Design teams,Project teams and tracking the part/drawing releases to ensure the ECN releases.
