Job Summary

The Guest Service Associate (GSA) - Housekeeping is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of guest rooms and public areas. The role ensures a high standard of guest satisfaction by delivering prompt, courteous, and efficient housekeeping services.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Room Maintenance

Clean, arrange, and maintain guest rooms as per the housekeeping standards. Replace linens, replenish amenities, and ensure rooms are well-stocked. Report any maintenance issues or damages immediately to the supervisor. Ensure timely completion of room cleaning (occupied, departure, and vacant rooms).

Public Area Cleaning

Clean and maintain corridors, staircases, lobbies, and other public areas. Ensure cleanliness of guest-facing touch points (doors, railings, elevators, etc.).

Guest Service

Assist guests with any housekeeping-related requests courteously and promptly. Maintain a polite and professional attitude at all times.

Safety and Hygiene

Follow all safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and cleaning SOPs. Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards as per hotel policy. Ensure proper use and storage of housekeeping tools and equipment.

Inventory & Reporting

Ensure adequate stock of linen, cleaning agents, and guest amenities in the pantry. Update room status accurately (cleaned, inspected, DND, etc.). Report lost & found items as per hotel procedures.

Teamwork & Coordination

Coordinate with the Front Office for room status updates. Support colleagues during rush hours or high occupancy. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills & Qualifications

10th/12th Pass and DHM or equivalent qualification. Prior experience in housekeeping preferred; freshers may also apply. Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and guest service. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, bend, push housekeeping carts, and stand for long hours. Physically fit to perform manual cleaning tasks.
