Position Title: GST Executive Overview: As a GST (Goods and Services Tax) Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with GST regulations, preparing and filing GST returns, maintaining accurate records, and providing support to other departments within the organization on matters related to GST. Responsibilities: Compliance: Stay updated with GST laws, rules, and regulations, and ensure the organization\'s adherence to them. Preparation and Filing: Prepare and file GST returns accurately and in a timely manner, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and other relevant forms as required by the authorities. Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of all transactions, invoices, and other documents related to GST, ensuring they are easily accessible for audits and reviews. Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of GST data with financial records to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. Communication: Serve as a point of contact for GST-related queries from internal stakeholders, external agencies, vendors, and customers, providing timely and accurate information. Compliance Reviews: Conduct periodic reviews and audits to assess GST compliance within the organization and recommend corrective actions as necessary. Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams on GST regulations, processes, and compliance requirements. Liaison: Liaise with tax authorities, consultants, and legal advisors on GST matters, representing the organization professionally and ensuring smooth resolution of issues. Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation related to GST registrations, refunds, exemptions, and other relevant matters. Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on GST-related activities, trends, and compliance status, providing insights and recommendations to management. Qualifications and Skills: Educational Background: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. A postgraduate degree or professional certification in taxation would be advantageous. Experience: Prior experience in GST compliance, taxation, or accounting roles is preferred, especially in a similar industry or organization. Knowledge: Thorough understanding of GST laws, regulations, and procedures. Familiarity with accounting principles and practices. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and interpret complex regulations. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting. Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in using accounting software, MS Excel, and other relevant software applications for GST compliance and reporting. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues independently or collaboratively. Organizational Skills: Effective time management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
