As the Site Leader of our India Development center, you would be responsible for building a world-class engineering organization that can drive innovation and development of the New Relic product landscape. You will work on a highly resilient, scalable, and secure platform that enables New Relic product teams to deliver outstanding products and features for our customers without worrying about the underlying Infrastructure. Solve high-scale distributed problems handling billions of events ingested per minute. Hire, foster, and develop a world-class diverse workforce. What you'll do

• Building and managing engineering teams that would contribute towards Observability, Growth, Ingest, and data platforms.
• Be a global leader for a segment of products and drive reliable, high quality engineering execution.
• Work across timezones with a good overlap between PST and be part of the core leadership driving engineering strategy.
• Develop world-class technical leaders in the group to scale and flawlessly implement the bold vision
• Attract and hire great talent in India and establish India Dev Center as a key contributor to the Newrelic products.

This role requires

Must-have:

• 15+ years of experience in premier technical organizations
• Built and led a team of ~100+ engineers
• Deep passion for modern infrastructure/Cloud/SaaS practices.
• Technical understanding and experience on technologies such as compute, storage, containers (Kubernetes), Databases, networking, and a solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline concepts (multi-cloud environment is a plus).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to explain complex technical design in 20 seconds or 20 minutes, depending on the audience and goals
• Proven track record of growth in complex organizations.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment where the product and org are growing and scaling rapidly

Bonus points if you have

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with multiple public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Public cloud migration at a large scale
• Experience building cloud-based Infrastructure that supports explosive data growth (> 200PB per month and growing)
