Job Description

Alcon is looking to hire Group Manager - AP whose role applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares all financial reports. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements, prepares and consolidates financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. Designs, modifies, implements and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions. Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls. May prepare written technical accounting and financial reporting position papers for review; including SEC reporting, share-based compensation, revenue recognition, segment reporting, impairment, equity-method investees, acquisitions and discontinued operations.

• Drive global and cross-functional internal and external projects and initiatives within Accounts Payable GPO area or Cross Functional applying defined PMO tools
• Develop project scopes and objectives, including project plans to track process, and ensuring technical feasibility and proper risk management
• Establish Project Governance Structure
• Provide Management Reports
• Forecast and Enable Resource Capacity Planning
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Deliver project-related communication, documentation and training to stakeholders as needed, including periodic updates on projects progress
• Coordinate internal resources and vendors (if required) for the flawless execution of projects
• Facilitate Team Collaboration and Communication
