Job Title : Operations Governance Lead & Business Management

Location : Bangalore India

Overview:

The role is for a Governance Lead within the Fixed Income Operations COO function. Responsible for various streams including but not limited to governance, strategy, financial performance, and vendor governance.

The job holder would be required to work with various operations teams globally to ensure a timely monthly governance process is run.

Other responsibilities include enriching our Target Operating Model, preparation of management reports and other aspects Governance as well as leading and contributing to departmental initiatives. You will work with the broader COO team and various departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of all activities within the given timelines.

In this role the candidate is required to work closely with Operations, Finance, HR, Risk and Control, IT, Audit Support teams etc.

Your key responsibilities
  • Provide strong governance around Management Reporting to senior stakeholder e.g Monthly Business Reporting
  • Liaise with Global teams to ensure timely delivery of monthly packs and key deliveries
  • Manage scope of deliveries, expectations and ensure clear and concise communication to sponsors, team members and other stakeholders
  • Ensure discipline in receiving quality updates and adherence to timelines
  • Build strong relations with key stakeholders
  • Challenge current processes and suggest process efficiencies that are sustainable
  • Manage escalations and ensure resolutions on or before time
  • Understand monthly and quarterly financial, headcount forecasts/ plans
  • Prepare materials for key client / business stakeholder interlocks providing full transparency over cost, financial performance, and also be able to meticulously plan for business growth enabling seemless business operations
  • Vendor governance and oversight
  • Run various cost saving projects to enable banks and functions targets.
  • Help share best practices across teams and business to enable various teams achieve their long terms strategic goals.
  • Manage the regional/local requirements around space planning and other local considerations
  • Ensure compliance with all policies for the relevant region or domain (mandatory training, recertification's, vendor risk mgt, etc.)
  • Maintain the Business Continuity and Crisis Response plans
Your skills and experience
  • Proficient in MS office with specific concentration on MS Excel & PowerPoint
  • Self-Motivated
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and displays a high degree of control awareness, attention to detail and focuses on providing quality output
  • Experience in COO/ Business Management role
  • Capacity to build relationships with clients internally & externally and focus on client satisfaction
  • The ideal candidate should have experience working in COO role in an Investment Banking domain
  • High-Level understanding of Investment Banking
