Job Description

A General Manager (GM) of a mill is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall operations, efficiency, and profitability of a specific mill or manufacturing facility, such as a . Their duties include setting production targets, managing budgets, leading and motivating staff, ensuring quality control, overseeing maintenance, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement and growth.
Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight:Manage day-to-day mill operations, ensuring smooth production processes and efficiency.
  • Production Management:Develop and implement production plans, monitor schedules, and adjust as needed to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Quality Control:Establish and enforce quality standards for products, often involving the analysis and optimization of machine parameters and processes.
  • Financial Management:Create and manage budgets, control costs, and analyze financial reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure profitability.

  • Compliance:Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards (like OSHA), and internal organizational policies.
