Job Overview:
This position will support the Hitachi CSS (Centralized Shared Services) organization in all matters related to finance to enable the execution of the CSS Strategy and Operations. This position will also own commercial management and CSS chargeback to Hitachi business units and regional headquarters. Also, the role will lead a team of finance analysts to implement the following operations as part of the CSS:
Finance activities for business operations & performance management
Overall CSS budgeting and forecasting
CSS commercial chargeback to the operating companies
Creation of business cases
Reporting activity for all functions within CSS
CSS Commercial & Legal compliance
Any other activities to support CSS organization
Roles & Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain CSS financial strategy and vision
Develop the annual CSS budget, financial management plan and forecast for CSS & ongoing monitoring of CSS financial health using defined financial KPIs and metrics & tracking actuals vs budget.
Work with Hitachi HQ Finance & RHQ finance teams to align CSS with the financial accounting standards & ensure financial compliance
Develop, maintain, and report on business case status on a periodic basis, aggregating business case results across all CSS initiatives to maintain an updated view of benefits and costs
Ensure the CSS organization has appropriate analytical and reporting capabilities in order to provide meaningful decision support for senior management/executives. This includes metrics, dashboards, capacity modeling and benchmarking.
Establish and maintain the service metrics (KPIs) for CSS organization. Ensure existing metrics remain current and align to industry leading practices. Assist in defining metrics for new services that are transitioned into CSS.
Develop & maintain the Chargeback model and ensure successful implementation across CSS buyers, collaborating with other CSS leaders to accurately calculate chargeback allocations.
Communicate and socialize chargeback allocations with Group Companies and address any queries, issues or escalations
Provide leadership, direction, coaching, feedback, and, where appropriate, discipline to and through subordinate team members.
Empower CSS commercial finance team with appropriate resources such as tools, models and systems to enable smooth delivery of required tasks. Encourage effective communication between team and stakeholders
Put in place the MSA & SOWs to govern the CSS service delivery.
Ensure DPA agreements are in place & a process to ensure compliance.
Qualification: Bachelors or MBA in Finance, Business or equivalent
Experience: 15+ Years in Finance accounting roles & business partnering / Chartered Accountant or equivalent
Professional Skillsets:
Significant experience in building financial models using advanced MS excel skills
Experience in visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau preferred
Comfortable working with large amounts of unstructured data
Experience of managing & leading finance teams
Great inter-personal and communication skills
Willingness to take on activities to support team, even if not finance area.
Experience with projects involving Japanese business environment OR some Japanese language capability
