Job Description



The Procurement Business Analyst participates actively in the development and implementation of global procurement and purchasing department operations. Responsible for identifying requirements, defining and providing metrics for procurement/purchasing department at global level, he/she will work closely with Finance, IT and procurement departments and will find innovative ways to help improve global procurement processes and provide expert recommendations and insights to leadership, helping drive data-based strategic decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Curate data (from disparate data sources- SQL server, Azure SQL and TM1) to meet business planning, category strategy development, RFPs \ negotiations, supplier engagement and reporting needs—data accuracy and accessibility is paramount.
  • Collaborate with category managers to build an understanding of category strategy, supplier markets, & processes and generate effective and credible proof points and insights.
  • Coordinate project tracking management for Global & local Procurement team.
  • Manage and assist with various key initiatives to drive continuous improvements and meet business requirements.
  • Support supplier scorecard development and implementations against objectives to generate shared value between organizations.
  • Responsible for system and database development, and the maintenance of audit traceable transactions.
  • Contribute to the development of procurement global tool with Group.
  • Train and coach team members necessary for performance of duties and responsibilities,
  • Build procurement global SharePoint site
  • Create and maintain PowerBI procurement dashboards for global users to crate and make strategic plans and achieve objectives.

The Individual
  • Strong verbal, written, and presenting communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and judgement
  • Must be able to write SQL scripts to extract data out from multiple systems
  • Must know how to build PowerBI reports by utilizing data model concepts and M/DAX Language
  • Data Visualization & Story Telling expertise (Power BI)
  • The ability to prioritize, collaborate, and support multiple initiatives is required
  • A self-starter who can work without supervision and begin projects independently
  • Can deal with ambiguities and act without having total picture
  • Project management skills to insure implementation of initiatives
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of RDBMS (via SQL) concepts
  • Data Visualization & Story Telling expertise (Power BI)
  • Familiarity with mathematical optimization and linear programming
  • Familiarity with SAP, Business Warehouse, and Business Objects is preferred
  • The ability to prioritize, collaborate, and support multiple initiatives is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop/maintain productive business relationship and persuade/influence directly and indirectly
  • Must possess the ability to seek alternatives and recommend best solutions that gain all parties support and lead to win-win results
  • Ability to deliver results with a sense of urgency
