Global Process Owner Purchase to Pay (P2P) - AP Process Excellence | BASF Agricultural Solutions

Your job We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Global Process Owner (GPO) for Purchase to Pay (P2P) to lead and optimize our global procurement and accounts payable processes within our dedicated Process Excellence Team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of procurement, purchase order management, accounts payable, and process improvement methodologies. As the GPO for P2P, you will play a critical role in shaping and enhancing our organization\'s procurement strategy, cost efficiency, and supplier relationships while leading a community of regional and local business process experts.
Key responsibilities

• 
  Process Ownership: Assume full ownership of the Purchase to Pay process, encompassing procurement, vendor and toll manufacturer management, purchasing, invoice processing, payment processing, and expense reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Global Standardization: Collaborate with global, regional and local teams and stakeholders to establish and enforce global P2P standards, best practices, and methodologies. Drive consistency in procurement and accounts payable processes across different regions and business units.
• Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate the P2P process to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains. Lead process redesign initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize supplier relationships.
• Strategic Procurement: Collaborate with strategic sourcing teams and senior leadership to align procurement strategies with the organization\'s goals. Develop and communicate procurement strategies, KPIs, and success metrics.
• Risk Management: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies within the P2P process, including supplier risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and contract management. Proactively address potential procurement and payment-related risks.
• Technology Integration: Partner with IT teams to leverage procurement and financial systems, e-procurement tools, and automation solutions. Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance P2P capabilities.
• Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the P2P process. Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
• Community Leadership: Lead a community of global, regional and local business process experts within the Process Excellence Team. Provide guidance, support, and expertise to enhance P2P capabilities across the organization.
• Change Management: Lead change management efforts associated with process improvements and technology implementations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful adoption of new processes and tools.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Finance, Operations, and IT, to gather input, align P2P efforts, and drive successful project execution. Serve as the primary point of contact for P2P-related inquiries.
• Innovation and Best Practices: Stay current with industry trends and emerging best practices in procurement and accounts payable. Integrate innovative approaches to enhance P2P capabilities.
• Talent Development: Mentor and guide a team of global process experts within the Process Excellence Community. Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance their skill sets and capabilities.
• Main interface to GB and GD Process Owner community: Be the main contact person for all the existing process owners of GB and GD to ensure that AP specific process requirements and needs are fulfilled.

Your team In this challenging position you will give coaching and guidance to a global community of regional and local Process Experts team. You will report to our \xe2\x80\x98Process Excellence Team Lead\xe2\x80\x99 and act as the right hand and sparring partner of Global and Regional Leadership in AP.
Your Profile Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field; Master\'s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CIPP) is advantageous.
• Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, purchase order management, accounts payable, or related fields, with a focus on global P2P operations and process improvement initiatives.
• Experience working in Agriculture is a plus.

• Global Perspective: Understanding of global procurement operations, market dynamics, and cultural nuances.
