Detailed description: Scope and Responsibilities:

• Global VE Idea Generation Leadership

o Defining the VAVE Ideation methodology and approach across Electrical, Display and Mechanical Functional areas

o Identifying the key Value Engineering levers and focus on these levers to build 3X to 5X times of yearly VAVE target based strong VE idea pipeline

o Working with Global HWCOC HW Architects, Electrical design and Component Engineering teams to identify the potential VAVE savings ideas from HW Architecture, Electrical Design and lowest cost Parts selection point of view

o Working with Global Mechanical Architects and Mechanical design teams to identify the potential VAVE savings ideas from Mechanical Enclosures and thermal components point of view

o Working with Global Display technology teams and Display suppliers to identify the potential VAVE savings ideas from Display point of view

o Working with external suppliers to seek potential VAVE idea generation and bring back within Visteon to implement it

o Planning and performing the VAVE workshops along with VAVE Program Management and cross-functional teams to drive the idea effectiveness and required level of idea generation

o Preparing the robust strategic VAVE proposals and present to executive leadership

o Enabling VAVE Program Management team to drive the idea reviews and approval with cross-functional teams till it gets approved for implementation

o Developing VAVE savings idea generation dashboard and present week over week idea generation performance

o Building and sustaining efficient master VAVE idea generation database

• Global VE Performance

o 3X to 5X times the VAVE savings idea pipeline generation against the yearly Visteon VE Savings target

• People Management

o Build strong end to end VAVE idea generation capability and drive the practice with high rigor

o Enable teams to perform/introduce VAVE activities across the programs while challenging the status quo

o Continuously evaluate the skill requirements and make suitable plans to bridge the gaps

o Optimize and efficiently utilize the resources across the locations and provide visibility on cost and performance

o Create a better workplace to foster higher levels of employee engagement and productivity improvement

Candidate Profile

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent, Master's degree preferred

• At least 15 years of experience in the automotive/aerospace/industrial/consumer domains in the field of Value Engineering and Components Engineering
• Experience and proven capability in Value Engineering aspects enabling multi-million dollar savings for the organization in Electrical, Display and Mechanical products
• Significant hands-on experience in Electrical Design/Mechanical Design and parts expertise
• Working in distributed team environment (global)
• Excellent oral and written communication and executive presentation skills
• Engineering leadership and team management experience
