This role has been designed as \xe2\x80\x98Hybrid\xe2\x80\x99 with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

The Global Employee Mobility Specialist provides mobility and assignment advisory services to business managers and HRBPs on the use and benefits of global mobility programs, policies and processes to meet specific business needs. As a mobility specialist you will work with internal parties and external vendors to provide SME knowledge and technical advice on assignment-related compliance issues (e.g., immigration, new country requirements, tax, legal or employment issues, etc.). Additionally, the specialist overseas the outsourced services and resolves escalated issues.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Applies mobility subject matter expertise in multiple areas of specialization to provide advisory support of mobility program to all stakeholders.
  • Manage global mobility ad hoc project requests in collaboration with mobility management and other program managers
  • Manage a mobility portfolio (i.e. pool of projects or regional population distribution)
  • Ensure compliance with global mobility policies and processes
  • Prompt resolution of issues and proactive responses to stakeholders, assignees and business partners
  • Understand (and document where appropriate) all program processes
  • Create strong partnerships with various internal organizations for support (Payroll, Talent Acquisition, M&A, HRBP, amongst others)
  • Provide support and advice in identifying, where appropriate, policy change or process improvement recommendations to address compliance issues, improve program effectiveness and remain competitive in our industry
  • Monitor exceptions and make recommendations to grant exceptions when appropriate
  • Provide global mobility subject matter expertise to regional HR representatives, and business line managers
  • Act as a strategic advisor to HRBPs, managers and employees during assignment and on immigration, relocation or tax matters
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex global tax programs
  • Experience with either a multi-national corporation in a Global Mobility Program role managing more than 450 moves or from a heavy governance area such as global taxation and vendor management
  • The ability to partner with legal counsel, tax leaders and external vendors in order to successfully coordinate all global mobility support for our employees
  • Experience with domestic and international policy development and implementation, as well as domestic and foreign payroll reporting requirements
What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:
  • First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically 6-10 years related experience in accounting, tax, finance, and/or human resources.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of global tax compliance including global taxation, PE, payroll compliance, business traveler taxes and assignment equalization.
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to employee compensation and benefits.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and influence skills.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of global mobility accruals, cost allocation and budgeting
  • Understanding of Global Mobility Compliance and Risk management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required. This position interacts frequently at the management level throughout the corporation and requires the ability to influence others.
  • Strong vendor management and reporting skills - including track record of success in constructive collaboration with providers
  • Understanding of Global Mobility Compliance and Risk management
  • Proactive approach and solution oriented attitude
  • Team player with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Self-starter who is able to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex global tax programs
