Join our Global Mobility & Immigration team The Global Mobility & Immigration team is part of the HR Strategic Programs group. This also includes HR Operations, HR Analytics, Mergers & Acquisitions, and the Program Management Office. We help our HR colleagues successfully manage and evolve people, programs and practices. Partner with the best You will help ensure that our foreign nationals around the world receive a best-in-class experience. It is crucial that Akamai meets all legal requirements for our employees to travel and work globally. You will partner with Akamai's law firm to develop case strategy and process case initiations and extensions. As a Global Mobility Specialist Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Managing all immigration cases outside the US in partnership with outside counsel
• Reviewing & gathering appropriate information and internal approvals, initiate, and monitor cases in partnership with outside counsel
• Working collaboratively to track cases, provide case data to help inform global strategy, ensure deadlines are met
• Providing case consultations, guidance on hiring practices and policies and status updates by partnering with stakeholders
• Utilizing working knowledge of immigration policies and procedures to recommend the appropriate immigration strategy to stakeholders
• Providing immigration support for global mobility situations, such as international transfers and assignments

Do what you love To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of immigration experience with countries outside the US
• Be customer-oriented with good organizational skills and an ability to be flexible and problem-solve
• Demonstrate ability to handle sensitive matters and navigate confidentiality with transparency
• Have ability to address complex situations and communicate the impact appropriately
• Be able to work effectively and collaboratively across functions
• Have experience reviewing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action
• Have exceptional attention to detail and focus on high-quality work
• Have good consultative and customer services skills, using excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
