: Cognizant is seeking a Global Corporate Workplace Category and India Regional Procurement
Lead The Global Category and Regional Procurement Lead is responsible for the development,
implementation and execution of sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management strategies
relating to Corporate Workplace Services globally and supporting India/ASEAN Real Estate
acquisitions, ensuring cost, quality and service levels are delivered appropriately. This role
covers end to end Facilities Life Cycle Management, covering Lease transactions (India/ASEAN
only), Design & Construction, Facilities Management, Security Guarding, e-Security and facility
renewals/exits. They will also provide local community and leadership for our India based
Procurement colleagues. This position reports into the Global Chief Procurement Officer.
This position is responsible for identifying major savings opportunities for Cognizant through
category strategy development, strategic sourcing projects and partnership agreements. The
candidate should be an expert negotiator, capable of orchestrating major cross-company
initiatives, including pricing/commercial terms agreements with significant spend, often
negotiating directly with the CXO-level of the vendor partners.
This profile is an expert-level practitioner in analyzing, formulating and recommending a wide
range of innovative pricing and commercial models utilizing deep category expertise, and market
insights.Spend categories under management may include Indirect Spend Categories of Corporate Real
Estate and Corporate Workplace Services. Primary responsibilities of this role:

• Establishing relationships with internal business stakeholders and building a strong understanding of strategic business direction, requirements and priorities across CRE/CWS and Corporate Security verticals globally.
• Drive and execute projects that are complex and global in scope and involve CXO-level negotiations on partnership deal terms. Significant category domain expertise in multiple complex/high-spend categories
• Managing the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx,
• spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
• Scales by exploring options of resource optimization or process efficiencies
• Generates or oversees savings contributing to category goal, meeting with supplier Senior executives (up to C-level) to negotiate advantageous terms as well as potential broader partnership opportunities
• Providing guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies maintaining procurement ethics in accordance with Cognizant's global ethics & compliance policies.
• Developing, implementing and managing robust market analyses / bench-marking processes leveraging key-insights to inform and support the category strategy development process
• Key leadership traits required to include the ability to influence and form strong partnerships with business leaders and their teams to define requirements, identify the best suppliers and negotiate advantageous pricing, terms and performance. This must be accomplished complying to Cognizant's Procurement Policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BE/BS/BA) required. Master's Degree desirable
• 15+ years of relevant strategic sourcing experience with a minimum of 10 years relevant
• Experience in -Real Estate & Facilities Management procurement.
• In-depth experience in best-in-class procurement policies & practices (category
• Management, benchmarking, cost models, RFX Process, reverse/forward auction, contracting, etc.)
• Strategic Sourcing certifications desirable

Professional skills

• Strong negotiator with proven experience in setting negotiation strategies and conducting complex negotiations
• Extensive knowledge of the types of commercial agreement structures and the function and purpose of key legal terms.
• Strong experience in assessing risk and concisely explaining complex issues to key business stakeholders
• Extremely customer-focused and understand the needs of the business.
• Experience in working in a large, global, highly matrixed organization
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Compelling and persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
