Role purpose


The HR function at Colt is currently very transactional in focus, with limited focus on provision of strategic insight:

  • End-to-End HR processes are not fully documented and there are many exceptions, which has contributed to high levels of manual work, poor governance and a correspondingly high level of error.
  • Significant rework is required to the global HR Information System (Success Factors) to optimise system configuration and understand the impact of any proposed changes.
  • HR data quality is sub-optimal, with conflicting data sources, inconsistent data definitions and key gaps, which undermines the quality of HRMI and necessitates significant manual re-work.
  • Further work is required to clarify the role of the various sub-functions within HR, following the launch of a new global HR Operating model.
  • Overall there is a key requirement for enhanced governance and control, including the implementation of formal change approval processes.
The role will be responsible for enhancing the HR systems including end to end responsibility, identifying gaps through user reports and feedback and working with the wider HR team to address the issues and work towards simplification. The role will also be responsible for collaborating with the Global Process owners and working with them collaboratively and acting as and SME or CoE for different critical processes including cross functional



Key accountabilities


  • Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to meet business goals
  • Provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key responsibilities and objectives
  • Reviewing data from previous projects to determine what methods have worked in the past and what has not
  • Assist in planning and executing process improvement project
  • Evaluates process improvement information, including policy and procedures to identify inefficiencies and coordinate to determine a future state that satisfies the business requirements
  • Act as an SME for HR Service Centre team and work collaboratively with Global process owners
  • Maintain and update all process related documents for reference purposes.
  • Identify, plan and implement key projects to improve quality, reduce costs, increase productivity and improve cycle time by reducing wasted time, rework, etc. resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor process performance and improvements in key metrics.
  • Assist in determining project scope and schedule based on business needs and requirements
  • Working Collaboratively with the wider HR Team
  • Ensuring that operational systems and processes, of the Global HR Services Team are effective and aligned with the wider business, making sure design methodology, approval process, change controls and documentation are standardized and consistently applied
  • Provide subject matter testing and Data Management Support for critical projects
  • Support recurring projects and audits (Annual Comp Review, Performance Management, Audits)
  • Follows trends about best practice and recommends innovative and/or best standards to increase impact on business challenges
  • Cover end-to-end of process implementation and improvements (configuring, testing and developing)
  • Capture and communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Remove/escalate roadblocks by identifying issues early and proactively identifying solutions
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with project stakeholders, project team members, and senior leaders
  • Participate in Internal/ External Audits for critical processes
  • Training New/ Existing Team members and support BAU as and when required

  • Having critical thinking and problem solving attitude
  • Ability to take a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving and pay close attention to detail
  • Understanding of data flows, integrations, and application programmatic interfaces
  • Strong sense of accountability for the success of the team and a passion for delivering value
  • Experience successfully championing change through advocacy, collaboration, and communication
  • Experience more that 5+ years
  • Fluency in English and one other European Language will be good to have (Spanish, French, German )
