In line with our increasing business, we are looking for a qualified and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to be based in our Noida office in India. This position offers the opportunity to work on various civil/geotechnical engineering projects, such as hydro power/pumped storage projects, underground and surface infrastructure projects. This role will also function as technical specialist in the field of rock mechanics and tunnelling, who will expand the ranks of our team of \'geotechnics\'. The key responsibilities of the proposed position includes, Support geotechnical engineering and consultancy team of hydro power plants, dams, tunnels and underground infrastructure Undertaking numerical analysis, design calculations, design documentation including reports and specifications Processing and interpretation of engineering geological data Analysis of geotechnical field investigations results and preparation geotechnical interpretation reports Professional assessments in tender works Interfacing with other disciplines in the preparation of design work and interacting with client representatives. Intermittent site visits for inspections and follow-up of on-going projects Depending on experience and interest, be involved in development work within international team of design expert Qualifications Academic background with a MTech/PhD degree in Rock Mechanics / Geotechnical Engineering. A minimum of 5 years\' relevant work experience in hydro power and/or tunnelling industry, but we are looking for candidates in several different skill levels and roles up to experience with over 10 years\'. Ability to provide in-depth knowledge and sound judgement in design of rail/road/metro tunnels, earth & rockfill dams, vertical shafts, slope stabilization, open-cut slope excavation, powerhouse caverns and other underground structures Design experience of European projects is an advantage. Need good knowledge of design softwares like GeoStudio, RS2, RS3, Slide2, SLOPE/W, SIGMA/W, SEEP/W, Dips, UnWedge, SWedge, RocPlane, Roc Topple, etc. Acquaintance with national/international standards and regulations in geotechnical or rock engineering Positive and dedicated team player, with great professional interest and are independent and capable of making decisions Ability to understand the client\'s challenges, are committed and provide good service to solve them Good presentation and communication skills.
