General Manager - Warehouse & Logistics operations @ Gurgaon, India

Our client is one of the fastest growing Consumer Electronics Organizations in India. They own 2 International audio brands and one home grown brand. It's a young and professionally managed organization with all major e-commerce and retail channels as their key customers. They need to fill the following position asap.

Position : General Manager - Warehouse & Logistics operations

Location : Gurgaon

Education : Any UG/ PG ( B.Tech/ MBA - Operations or Supply Chain & Logistics Management preferred )

Experience : 15-18 Years

Compensation : Commensurate with education and experience

Role Responsibilities and Desired Profile :

1. Background: While all imports come from China they sell through online platforms like Flipkart & Amazon and organized retails like Croma etc and to do that they need to deliver material across more than 15 locations in India. To cater to this movement, they have 3 different outsourced warehouses across key cities. They currently have team of 4 people handling Logistics and Import part and need to add a senior resource as head of Logistics & Warehousing to take care of this vertical and report into management. The job wise break up would be Warehousing: 50%; Logistics: 30%, Import/Export Management: 20%

2. Responsibilities:

- Candidate will be directing the organization & overall Warehousing, Supply chain & logistics operations with a team of 4 people directly reporting into him.

- Responsible for overall cost management, ensuring smooth operations, mutual coordination, productivity analysis for all the 3 verticals

- Supervise overall outsourced warehousing operations across India and will be responsible for inventory management, stock auditing etc.

- Overall responsible for managing Logistics for B2B ( Amazon, Flipkart, Channel partners ) & B2C shipments ( Incl. reverse logistics ) across the country.

- Vendor management including negotiations, agreements across the 3 verticals

- Understand rules and regulations of various verticals including BIS/WPC/ETA etc. and ensuring strong compliance with all of them.

- Timely management of overall Import & Export activities ( Air/ Sea shipment ).

3. Skill Sets:

- This person should have minimum 15 years of work ex and should be from Ecommerce background.

- He should have experience in handling 3PL warehouse and logistics for B2C, B2B, D2C as well.

- Person should be aware of the process of returns from Amazon ( seller account like Appario etc )

- Person should be able to know the insurance claim process from Amazon & Flipkart ( both Bulk & Market place )

- Person should be from a product-oriented company, may be TV, Fridge, AC etc.

- Very good know-how of Excel

- Excellent negotiation Skills

- Effective Communication Skills

- Team & conflict management

- Preferably based in Gurgaon or nearby areas or willing to relocate to Gurgaon

Qualification & Experience:

- Hands on experience of Warehouse management & Logistics is a must. Experience of handling Import will be an added advantage

- Graduation: Any UG ( B. Tech Preferred )

- Post-Graduation - Any PG ( Regular MBA Supply Chain & Logistics Management or MBA Operations preferred )

- 15-18 years of overall experience.
