Act as the one-point-of-contact for the management, translating strategic goals into actionable operational plans. Develop and implement policies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Utilize strong forecasting skills to plan for seasonal and festive demand, ensuring the plant is prepared for production ramp-ups.
People Leadership & Development:
Provide inspirational leadership to a large team of 100-300 employees, including workers, team leaders, and supervisors. Foster a positive, high-performance work culture. Directly handle all people management aspects, including performance reviews, conflict resolution, training, and employee engagement, while overseeing HR and Admin functions for the plant.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee the entire manufacturing lifecycle from procurement to dispatch. Manage the Production, Packaging, and Quality Assurance departments to ensure adherence to schedules and stringent quality standards (like FSSAI). Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve yield.
Supply Chain & Support Functions:
Lead the Purchase & Procurement team to ensure timely, cost-effective availability of materials. Manage Logistics & Dispatch to optimize inventory and ensure on-time delivery. Collaborate closely with the Sales department to align production with market demands.
Facility & Compliance:
Ensure optimal maintenance of plant machinery and utilities to minimize downtime. Uphold the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental compliance. Ensure the facility meets all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Mechanical, Industrial), Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years
of progressive experience in factory operations management, with a strong preference for candidates from the
food manufacturing industry
(FMCG, Snacks).
Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating, and managing large teams of
100-300 people
is essential.
Proven expertise in managing all core operational departments: Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, Logistics, HR, and Admin.
